Job description

About vidIQ

vidIQ is helping millions of YouTube creators grow faster with data-driven insights and smart tools. Our mission is to be the world’s best copilot for creators—and we’re looking for a growth-obsessed Product Engineer to drive the critical first steps of that journey.

This is a rare opportunity to own the entire onboarding and conversion funnel for a leading creator tech product—leveraging AI, experimentation, and your product intuition to unlock growth at scale.

What You’ll Do

As our Product Engineer, Growth, you’ll be laser-focused on the first 30 minutes of a user’s journey—from signup through activation and into paid conversion. You'll blend engineering, product thinking, and data to deliver experiences that convert more visitors into engaged, paying users.

You’ll:

  • Own and improve key funnels: sign-up, onboarding, authentication, upsell, and trial-to-paid conversion.

  • Design and ship experiments (e.g., onboarding personalization by creator type, AI-guided setup flows).

  • Rapidly iterate based on data to uncover conversion blockers and unlock "aha" moments.

  • Use AI to improve onboarding journeys, education flows, and upgrade nudges.

  • Deeply understand our user psychology—especially first-time YouTube creators and what drives them to engage or churn.

You’ll own core metrics like:

  • X% increase in day-1 activation

  • Y% lift in free-to-paid conversions

  • Z% improvement in trial-to-paid MRR

You Might Be:

A Senior-Level Growth Unicorn

  • Proven track record optimizing onboarding or monetization funnels at a consumer SaaS company

  • Fluent in data analysis, product experimentation, and technical implementation

  • Comfortable owning roadmap, user flow design, and conversion KPIs

Or a High-Potential, Analytical Builder

  • Valedictorian-type—smart, analytical, curious

  • May not have direct growth experience, but picks up tools and frameworks quickly

  • Strong instincts for product and user motivation

  • Technical enough to ship frontend changes independently (ideally in TypeScript)

Job requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Growth Obsession: You dream in funnels, retention curves, and onboarding flows.

  • Technical Chops: You can build things solo—especially in TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks.

  • Data Fluency: You know what to test, how to run it, and how to extract learnings fast.

  • Empathy for Creators: You understand the YouTube journey and can speak to their goals, fears, and pain points.

Why This Role at vidIQ

  • Massive Impact: Your work directly shapes how millions of creators experience our product—and whether they stick around.

  • Speed & Autonomy: Small team, high ownership, and the green light to move fast.

  • AI-Enabled: Work with powerful AI tools to personalize experiences and drive scalable growth.

  • Remote Flexibility: Work from anywhere, with a supportive and async-friendly culture.

  • Visible Results: Watch the metrics move because of your work.

Perks & Benefits

  • Competitive compensation (we’re ready to pay for top talent)

  • 100% remote + unlimited PTO

  • Monthly phone/internet reimbursement

  • Comprehensive US health coverage
